The D.C. Apprenticeship Academy offers Level 1 apprenticeship instruction in carpentry, electrical, HVACR, plumbing and masonry using the competency-based curriculum accredited by the National Center for Construction Education and Research. The Academy also offers training and certification for Your Role in the Green Environment, curriculum approved by Green Advantage™ and endorsed by the U.S. Green Building Council to certify industry technicians in its LEED rating system. Geared toward entry-level workers, The NCCER/Contren Learning module offers instruction in the green environment, green construction practices and green building rating systems.

All training classes are held in the Academy of Construction and Design at Cardozo Senior High School in Washington, DC. The state-of-the-art facility features secured, lighted access with ample adjacent parking and Metro stations nearby.

Competitively priced with other programs in the Metro area, the D.C. Apprenticeship Academy also offers a discounted tuition rate for District residents.
